2010 ThanksGiving Santa Cruz
We had Thanks Giving at our house in Santa Cruz this year.
When we planned on having it at our house I was thinking 'this is going to be great. I'll wake up and do a dawn patrol surf, come back and make some mash potatoes and stuffing, stuff my face and then go out for a evening sessionUnfortunately, the waves disappear right before Thanks Giving and won't be back till next week.We substitute the surfing with some mountain biking, a nice walk along the beach, and a movie (We saw "Unstoppable" which was lame. Total surprise ending. Captain Kirk stops the train and gets back with his X. I thought for sure the train was going to crash and everyone was going to die and his X was going to end up with the police officer and huge house from the settlement the railroad company would have paid out). Here we are walking down the 3 mile trail to the beachWe did the black Friday thing at Urban Outfitters. Marina told us everything with going to be 50% off. It turned out only the lame things that were on clearance were an extra 50% off. So I ended up buying a bunch of crap I don't need. I was just following people and when they went to grab something I would act like I was trying to grab it. I just wanted to get in a tuck-o-war over some skinny jeans.
And what would Thanks Giving be with some games (Liars Dice and Bang), and a little football. (Did you see how Boise State Game. That was an incredible game which ended their 24 game winning streak. I feel so bad for that kicker.)

2010 Halloween Encarnacion & NACHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I don't like the way those guys just looked at you. HEY! Can't you see this woman is a nun?
Well, my favorite color is light tan. My favorite animal is puppies. I like serving the Lord. Hiking, play volleyball... You gotta be kidding me. Everything you just said, is MY favorite thing to do, every day! They think I do not know a buttload of crap about the Gospel, but I do!
My life is good! Really good! I get to wake up every morning, at 5AM, and make some soup! It's the best. I love it. I get to lay in a bed, all by myself, all of my life! That's fantastic!
The Sunday before we got together with friends and Family for a little carving session

DISNEYLAND & CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE
A couple weekends ago Justin and I went to Disneyland and California Adventure with Justin's best friend Ryan and his wife Amie. It was my first time at Disneyland, and I had so much fun. I don't know if you all know this about me, but I am very afraid of heights and I don't like anything that drops my stomach, for example roller coasters.
So I asked Justin, "How's the rides at Disneyland?" and he said, "It will be fine and easy you are going to like it, but California Adventure will be a little more challenging for you".
Anyways here are the only few pictures we got at Disneyland and California Adventure.

This was our little drop at Splash Mountain. I can't believe I was so scared. Look at the little girl behind Justin. She is fearless.

Help us Pick the Winning PIc
I haven't been blogging lately because I recently joined the world of FaceBook, another wonderful way I seem to waste my time.
And for those of you who follow our blog, you may remember an earlier post of Silvia's and my dance off. Well, I just want you to know that Sil and I have been practicing a few new dance moves like the reject, the jerk, and stanky leg and may need some judges to let us know who is the best.

6This is at one of my surf spots, 4 mile. From the parking lot you can't see the ocean. I love running down the trail and hitting this point where you first see the waves and either start sprinting or start walking depending on how good it is.

Photo Session with Glady
We had the world famous Glady from San Francisco come down for a photo shot. It was really fun having her and Chris come down and take pictures of us at some of our favorite corners of Santa Cruz. We figured we should get some pictures of us before Justin looses all his hair. Needless to say we love the pictures. Click here Gladys Jem blog to see our photos by Gladys.
Thank you Glady
Let us know which ones you like.

Memorial Day Boogie Boarding
My little niece Naomi, who is 22 months, loves the ocean. When I tell her we are going to the Beach she says in her little voice, "Wetsuit." Then when we are at the beach and I'm putting on my wetsuit she'll walk up to me and say in her little voice, "Boogie." Here is a little video of me and her boogieboarding at Capitola jetty.

Tour of CA came Through Santa Cruz
The Tour of California came our way and we were excited to be at the final stretch of Stage 3 in Santa Cruz. They came by so fast it was insane. If I stuck my arm out I could have caused a 30 person train wreck. We looked for Lance Armstrong, but they all look the same when they are going by at 40 mph

Dawn Patrol at the Lane
There is not much that can get me out of bed at 5:30 A.M. but surfing Steamer Lane with glassy head high conditions with only 4 guys out is one of them. Here is a little video of me shot by Robyn on her iphone (hence the quality is not that great). I had been doing a lot of shortboarding earlier in the week, so this morning I went out longboarding with my brother-in-law Mike.

Whack the Cracker is the new Craze
Thanks to everyone who came last weekend to Celebrate our Birthdays. We had so much fun, but the highlight was playing Whack the Cracker. This game involves tying a Saltine Cracker to the back of you pants and running around with a rolled up newspaper or magazine and trying to break the crackers of others. The last one standing wins.
Silvia and I both still have welts from running through the spanking machine. It's pretty funny to watch. You can watch the video down below, but its a little cut off. Click here to watch it on youtube.

Pre-Easter Surf Session with the Family
We had Easter in Santa Cruz this Year. The day before we went to Cowells for a little surf session. Melissa had an interesting Skiing style on the Surfboard. Silvia was charging and Mackenzie was just getting warmed up for BYU Hawaii next year. Mike had another great wave at the end, but the batteries ran out. I surfed every day that week so I just took one for the team and filmed.
